On Thursday, I listed what I thought the top 5 movies would be. This is what I selected.

Wow. Maybe I should go see that Disturbia. Everyone seems to really like it. It's probably very popular with people who weren't alive when Rear Window was released.
And I should have realized the crappy reviews would keep Condemned out of the top 5 (it was #9). I will try to do better next time.
Once you get over the Rear-Window-ness of it all, Disturbia is an amazingly competent b-thriller anchored by some great acting from Morse and LeBouef, or however you spell Louis Stevens's name. Which basically means it's worth seeing.
ReplyDeleteNext's poor showing makes me think that Nic Cage is starting to become box office poison.
Well, as much as I bust on it, I have been a fan of Morse since he was on St. Elsewhere. So I kinda figured at least the acting would be good. Who knows. Maybe I'll take the wife to see it this week, if nothing else is coming out this week.
