The Charlotte Observer is reporting that Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist Doug Marlette lost his life in a one vehicle car crash this morning.
I am a big fan of editorial cartoons and, that being said, I was a fan of Doug Marlette. He seemed to be the total package for me--I liked his viewpoint and his artwork. He has been doing editorial cartoons for almost as long as I have been alive. His style and opinions will be missed.
