No, you don't. I don't watch it but I know this is an anti-AI "campaign" afoot to get people to continously, and excessively, vote for whoever is worst each week - directly countering the intent of the show.
I've seen a clip of this guy. He's BAD. But he keeps surviving. So the campaign seems to be working.
Yes, Jeff, you would have to watch American Idol to make any sense of this. And up to this year, the wife and I would have been in the same boat as you.
And LeendaDLL, IF THAT IS YOUR REAL NAME (Kidding! Seriously, it's great to know at least one othe person besides Rich and Jeff is reading my blog. Stop by often.) I do know that it is either an anti-AI campaign or a joke by Howard Stern. But it's having the opposite effect.
Me and the wife keep watching just to see if Sonjaya makes through another week. Each week he makes it, we have to watch the next week. So this campaign, at least in our case, is having the opposite effect. If this doofus was voted off, we could go back to ignoring the show.
And not only is this guy a horrible, horrible, throw-up in your mouth quality singer, but he's developing the cocky swagger of a man who knows he could what ever he pleases and still make it through. I expect him to come out in a sumo's outfit, sing a Celine Dion song backwards, and pee all over the crowd. Which wouldn't be as good TV as you might think.
Beg to differ.

ReplyDeletei'll tell you right now that I wouldn't vote for this guy. Not once. Not even for city council.

Wow. I seem to be in the minority.
